Publicados em seu fotolivro intitulado Aurora, momento do dia em que a luz vence a escuridão, os retratos de Yago Moreira representam a vida como ela deveria ser: vivida a cada nova alvorada. O artista captura corpos e seus fragmentos que pulsam em um desejo de liberdade e ruptura com o que está estabelecido. Suas fotografias bailam sem que percebam limites. Reside nelas uma coreografia de um corpo insubmisso, rebelde, desobediente. Há uma relação de confiança entre as personagens fotografadas e o artista fotógrafo, marcada por essa coreografia sem destino, sem borda, que se entrega e se joga de olhos fechados, conforme se observa nos registros.

Taken between 2018 and 2024, mostly with dance artists, Moreira's photographs demonstrate their consistency and rigor in working, in the foreground, with the materiality of the body — the one who is under a regime of discipline and training — and which here wins Poetic shapes and contours when framed in an experimental or unconventional aesthetic.
I would like to propose to the readers to create their narratives and dialogues between the photographs shown here, but, first, point out some partial paths. The first and second photos have a horizontal shape and each one has a movement opposite to the other, as if the characters dance facing each other. Then we have a triptych that accompanies the development of a certain movement. In the sequence, two vertical photographs with the bodies moving to opposite sides, with similar bodily positions: one very well defined and the other almost a ghost. Would photography be the documentation of life by shedding light where until then there was only darkness?
